...🟄⚝⍣My Fifteenth Week as a Senior Student⍣⚝🟄...

This week was intense! We just found out our class schedule changed, and where we used to have some free periods, now we’re booked solid. HUHUHU! Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays have us staying at school later than usual, so the week felt long and draining. Every day was packed with tasks and deadlines, so it was a real test of my energy and focus!

In Personal Development, we’ve been assigned a family genogram project, where we map out both sides of our family. We have to include family members from both my mom’s and dad’s sides—even extended family like aunts, uncles, and cousins. It’s a bit overwhelming to think about listing everyone and getting details about each person, but I’m committed to making it creative and thorough. I spent a lot of time this week talking to my parents and jotting down all the names and connections. It’s actually kind of cool to see my family tree coming together, and I’ve learned a few interesting things about my relatives!

For Philosophy, I studied extra hard for our latest quiz, hoping to score well. I spent hours going over my notes, memorizing key terms, and reviewing past quizzes to catch any details I might have missed. Despite my efforts, my score wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for—though I passed, I wasn’t completely satisfied. It’s like that feeling when you know you could’ve done better! Next time, I plan to put even more time into reviewing and maybe even try some new study techniques to make the information stick better.

For our elective class, we have a big project where we need to create a comic strip. This sounds fun, but since drawing isn’t exactly my strong suit, I decided to ask a classmate who’s great at it to help. HAHAHAHAHA! We’re working together on the storyline and layout, and I’m learning a lot from watching her sketch. It’s fun seeing our ideas come to life on paper, and I’m glad we can each bring our own skills to the project.

In Applied Economics, we had a quiz that I was actually pretty nervous about. I studied a lot, going over all the lessons, terms, and case studies we covered in class, so I felt pretty prepared. When we got our scores back, I found out I’d gotten 17 out of 20—not perfect, but still decent. It’s encouraging, and I know that a little more focus next time could help me reach an even better score. Each quiz feels like a stepping stone, and I’m determined to keep improving.

To wrap up the week, we were tasked with creating a class yell and dance for the upcoming intramurals! This was probably the most exciting part of the week, and our class really came together for it. After a lot of brainstorming, practicing moves, and fine-tuning our cheer, we finally nailed down something we were all proud of. A lot of my classmates said they really liked how it turned out, which was a huge confidence boost! Now, we’re practicing every chance we get to make sure we’re ready for the big event.

                               Bible Verse for the Week:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

This verse reminded me that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed and that I’m not alone. Even in moments when the week feels packed, knowing that God cares brings peace and helps me push through. Each challenge is a chance to trust in Him and to know that He’s got my back.

Looking back, I see this week as a reminder of the importance of patience, teamwork, and faith. It wasn’t easy, but I learned a lot. With God’s guidance and support from my friends, I feel ready to take on whatever next week brings. Here’s to learning and growing each day!
