...🟄⚝⍣My Fourteenth Week as a Senior Student⍣⚝🟄...

This week was definitely a whirlwind! It felt like every day brought a new surprise, from pop quizzes to last-minute activities that had us scrambling. In creative writing, different groups took turns presenting, and each one gave us a quiz at the end of their report. Honestly, it was tough—each group covered a different author, and we had to remember specific details about their works. Trying to keep track of so many styles and ideas was like piecing together a big puzzle. But I did my best, and I think I got most of it right (fingers crossed!).

In PR 2, sir hit us with a surprise Q&A session without any warning! My group and I quickly huddled together, reviewing our notes and supporting each other so we could answer each question. Every time one of us got an answer right, it felt like a little victory, and by the end, we were all cheering for each other. Knowing that we could work together and get through it made us all proud.

Philosophy, though—that was a different story! Out of nowhere, sir handed us two activities, and I was completely unprepared. My mind went blank at first because I hadn’t had the chance to review. Luckily, the activities were open notes, which was a total lifesaver! I managed to find the answers quickly, but the pressure was real, and my heart was racing the whole time. It was a reminder that sometimes, even if we’re not fully ready, we just have to dive in and do our best.

In PerDev and HUMSS elective, we had more quizzes lined up. I’d done some studying, so I felt a bit more confident going in. I was able to answer most of the questions, but there were still a few that tripped me up. Not everything went perfectly, but I’ll just have to hit the books even harder next time. (Just kidding—or maybe not? HAHA!)

One of the biggest surprises this week was the announcement that our HUMSS elective teacher is being replaced. Our class was buzzing with excitement and curiosity about who the new teacher would be. Turns out, it’s going to be a guy, so that will bring a fresh perspective to our class. We’re all looking forward to seeing what his teaching style will be like and how things might change.

                               Bible Verse for the Week:

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." – Psalm 46:1

This verse felt especially powerful this week. With everything going on—the quizzes, the sudden activities, and the surprise announcements—it was comforting to remember that God is always there, providing us with strength and guidance. Reflecting on this, I realized that resilience isn’t just about getting through hard times; it’s about finding peace and strength, even when things feel overwhelming. Knowing that God is by my side gives me courage, especially in moments of uncertainty.

Looking back, I realize that while the week was intense, it was also a chance to grow. It taught me the importance of adapting, supporting my classmates, and staying positive no matter what challenges come my way. As I look forward to next week, I’m motivated to keep pushing forward, keep learning, and keep growing. With faith, resilience, and a good sense of humor, I know I can face whatever comes next..
